I am a “linguaphile”—a lover of languages. I grew up listening to the beautiful accents of our Persian exchange students. They filled our home with culture, exotic cuisine, and a fresh world perspective; sparking in me an intense desire to really learn other cultures. And to truly learn another culture, it is essential to speak the language. So, by the age of 16, I had decided to study International Business and Spanish at university nurturing my passion for bilingualism and world culture.
Fast-forward to 2003, using the expertise and relationships built during 10 years as Subsidiary Rights Manager at both Creative Publishing International and Llewellyn Worldwide, I launched my own rights agency—Letter Soup Rights Agency.
- Licensed over 6,000 titles in over 150 languages worldwide
- Cultivated relationships with long-time international partners that are based on trust, creativity, and solid sales results
- My customers know I only represent publishers and titles I truly believe in and think will sell through in their markets – creating royalties, not just advances, and many international bestsellers
There is no “widget” I could sell that I would love more than books and nothing I’d rather do than share them with my international colleagues!
